Note-worthy Books

Notebooks are the newest addition to our sustainable cheerful paper family. They compliment our growing greeting card and gift wrap collections.

Notebooks have been something I have wanted to add into my collection for almost a year, after meeting Rupert at Halstan Print a British printers of quality books.

I immediately knew that they were the company I wanted to produce some notebooks with. They have a long established history in bookbinding since 1919 and and use the most beautiful GFsmith papers.

A traditional method is used to create the books called Ota binding or flat lay binding which means that when opened the book will lay flat on the desk as the cover is not attached to the spine of the book, it means no staples or metal binders are used in production making these a wonderful sustainable choice and very easy to recycle after use.

Launching in September ‘22 4 beautiful unique designs created from my hand painted illustrations.

The notebook designs were created by Emily Spikings who also designs my gift wrap repeat prints. I always want to achieve a premium feel and Emily adds a professional touch to everything she does. My strengths definitely lie more with a paint palette than a computer, so I think we made a good team on this project, and once handed over to the printers a lovely premium notebook has emerged!

The books are A5 in size with a soft stipple textured cover, each design has it’s own contrast binding colour chosen to compliment the prints. There are four unique designs available. Each front cover has a vintage inspired label incorporated with space to title your book. They are produced in the UK using sustainable papers from FSC certified forests. Blank inside allowing for multiple uses.
